Optech 40 or Optech 60 LED modules can replace the conventional lamp and lamp holder within the majority of commercially available light fittings.
With this method the energy saving is truly sustainable. Optech is British designed and British made. Tritechnology™ is a registered trademark. If you would like more information about how to purchase this product contact Peter Malt at peterm@esea.org.uk
The Greencell technologies - Home energy use in the UK is currently responsible for producing more than 27% of all carbon emissions.
Whereas progress to reduce this is being made by improving the energy performance of new build properties, we must face the huge challenge of addressing existing, older inefficient properties, many of which will still be standing and occupied by 2050.
Such inefficient homes account for more than 90% of the existing housing stock, which highlights the importance of adapting them to suit 21st century living. Improving the thermal efficiency of existing properties will not only help meet the challenges of climate change, it will help householders tackle rising fuel costs, encourage well being and a provide a healthier living environment.
As part of Huntingdonshire District Council’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions and tackle climate change, we have purchased two properties, which will be ‘sustainably’ refurbished and opened up to the public as demonstration homes.
In Huntingdonshire approximately 67,000 homes are privately owned. There is huge potential to improve the energy and water efficiency of the properties, which will help to reduce the district’s carbon footprint and bring existing homes up to a higher level of environmental performance.
The UK Government is committed to reducing carbon emissions by 80% by the year 2050.
If we are to reduce our carbon emissions and help slow down the effects of climate change we need a step change in our thinking – the way we live, travel and refurbish our properties plays a major part in that. It’s important for the Green House Project to demonstrate and influence sustainable refurbishment and to encourage a ‘low carbon lifestyle’.
The district council is working with the Building Research Establishment (BRE), whose expertise and guidance is integral to the project. The BRE will be providing the specifications for the improvements, which will be based around the results of extensive thermal and acoustic testing which has already been undertaken in both of the houses.
The Greencell technologies - The Green House Project will take a ‘whole house’ approach to refurbishment, starting with the building fabric and insulation, windows, heating systems, ventilation, water efficiency measures and the installation of renewable energy technology including solar thermal for hot water and solar photovoltaics (PV) for energy.

Greencell Technologies - HeatingSave helps the Green Houses and Cambs Fire save money

HeatingSave is a low-cost, revolutionary Energy Management System that saves between 15% and 30%+ off the energy used to heat and light your home. It’s controller, which replaces the central heating timeclock, contains a computer program that learns, and constantly refines, the heat loss profile of your house so that it uses the least amount of energy.
At 25 Manor Road, St Neots, the HeatingSave system is using HeatingSaves’ glass evacuated solar tubes to heat the hot water using the suns rays. As HeatingSave is controlling both the boiler and the solar panel, it is able to make further economies by using the free energy from the sun as much as possible. The heating is turned up or down automatically depending upon the heat loss profile of the house and the outside temperature, whilst the occupancy sensors automatically turn up and down the heating depending on whether anyone is at home. The same occupancy sensors automatically turn lights on/off, this time saving money off the electricity bill. The immersion heater is also controlled by HeatingSave, allowing the home owner the vary the hot water temperature; hot for the baths/showers in the morning and cooler in the day for washing up, hand-washing and the washing machine. All saving energy and money, but leaving you firmly in control. Linked to the HeatingSave controller is a PC where the householder can change settings, view daily costings to help with the household budget and view the energy savings graphs – so you can see that the system is actually working and saving you money. The HeatingSave system is linked to the Internet so you can control, set and view how well your energy management system is working – from anywhere in the world.
At 1 St Audrey Lane, St Ives the HeatingSave system is controlling the Dimplex flat solar panel and the Dimplex air heat source pump. There is no central heating boiler, with heat being extracted solely from the outside air temperature and the suns rays. HeatingSave applies the same type of control at 1 St Audrey Lane as at 25 Manor Road. Again the Tensor access control system links to HeatingSave so that the energy management system “knows” when the house is occupied or empty.
HeatingSave is a government approved by the Carbon Trust and the Energy Savings Trust to save money on your energy usage. It is also an approved product on the lord mayor of London’s “London Green500” scheme.
HeatingSave are also helping Cambridgeshire Fire Service to reduce their heating bills, more information can be found on the Hunts Post website

GreenCell Technologies -The Science

A good warning: minimizing use of land and other resources, GreenCell develops the GNUL Bio Processor
GreenCell Research Pty Ltd has now taken these ideas to the next level. Utilizing the intellectual property of Ian Wright, GreenCell Research Pty Ltd constructed a number of bio-processors at Yatala, Queensland to prove the concept. Scientists from the Atmospheric Research Facility at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, provided advice on algae selection. To minimize the use of land and water resources, a proprietary bio-processor was created to grow the algae. Invoplas Pty Ltd, a plastics R & D company, built the processors.
The final bio-processor has been named the GNUL - “lung” in reverse - breathing in CO2 and breathing out O2.

Between 1978 and 1996, the US Department of Energy funded research into technologies that could have significant impacts on the consumption of fossil fuels. The focus of this research became the Aquatic Species Program, which investigated renewable fuel production (bio-diesel) from high-oil algae species, fed by the waste CO2 from coal-fired power plants. Researchers whittled down over 3,000 strains of micro-organisms into the most productive 300, and constructed 1000 sq. meter test ponds outside of Roswell, NM.
The ponds were set up as sort of algae ‘race-tracks’, where algae were circulated around shallow, oval-shaped ponds as carbon dioxide bubbled through the mixture. Results were successful and in some ways encouraging, but the program was abandoned after almost two decades, as a result of budget constraints and a preference for allocating resources to researching ethanol as a substitute for low cost fossil fuels.
About the GNUL
The World now realizes what the Earth has been trying to say for some time…. It is running out of breath and now is the time to act, before it is too late. The GreenCell GNUL bio-processor - which can be built into the infrastructure that creates our greenhouse gases - turns our worst problem into our greatest asset. The GNUL replicates lungs that breathe in CO2 and other polluting elements and breathes out sweet oxygen, cleans water for re-use and turns bio-waste into useful by-products. It’s what nature has been doing since life on earth began. A low-energy natural process with measurable results. Now we can all be part of a solution, instead of the problem. “BREATHE A LITTLE EASIER”

The micro-algae lock up the carbon in their cells and these can be harvested from the GNUL and the lipids, proteins and carbohydrates then converted into biofuel, ethanol, methane or other useful products, using conventional methods.
Instead of Greenhouse gases being fed into the atmosphere, these are fed into GreenCell GNUL Bio-Processors and converted into usable forms of energy and other useful products including but not limited to: Light sweet crude, pharmaceutical grade amino fatty acids, proteins and oils, the bio mass can be further processed using the cellulous fiber for fabrics; plant, stock and fish food, it makes a high-density insulation material, it can be used to feed power stations as a supplement to coal, the water involved in the process is recycled and cleaned via the process to a natural standard.
GreenCell Technologies is confident that the GNUL will prove an effective way to reduce Greenhouse gas emissions at power stations and other industrial sites.
The Gnul Process: other uses of the GNUL
The GNUL technology opens the door to multiple applications.
Algae types can handle most types of water and industrial waste.
We will find the GNUL designed into the infrastructure of tomorrow’s buildings.
GreenCell has completed preliminary trials on its methane digester design and has already had interest from commercial piggeries.
Further research with stand alone diesel motors has shown that the GNUL design is also effective in the elimination of oxides from the exhaust of stationary motors as well as lowering CO2 emissions.
GreenCell is also confident that the GNUL will be highly effective in the treatment of polluted water - utilizing algae in the same way as conventional methods but in a controlled and compact space. Use of the GNUL in aquaculture should reduce the blooms of red and blue/green algae and improve the growing conditions considerably.
GNULS are manufactured from recycled, everyday plastics and are specialty moulded using our exclusive patented process.
The same carbon neutral manufacturing process produces very low cost water tanks and methane digesters, which are themselves, recyclable.
These are used as component and ancillary parts of the whole system. However they are stand-alone items in themselves as they can be “blown” to previously unachievable dimensions.

Metering is via an EPA standard environmental gas analyzer.

GreenCell will continue to explore the potential of algae and bacteria in its role as environmental cleanser and is committed to developing the best bio-processor for each individual application.

Greencell Other Technologies

GreenCell is committed to bio-sequestration technologies and to the development and roll out of world’s best bio-remediation products and clean energy generation advances. We are selecting technologies that truly fit into the "virtuous circle" credo and have minimal non-green outputs.

Article blog by Internet fraud watch on additional reading about Greencell Other Technologies. Avoid getting taken by Internet scams.

These technologies include the patented "GreenCell Clear" being launched in Europe, China and Australasia through local offices. A natural and safe L Plantarum Bacteria for use in organic waste management and freshwater treatment, this product is sold under an agreement with GreenCell in these regions.

GreenCell is also exploring gasification technologies which when coupled with the GNULs will provide clean and locally based power generation. Gasification is a good match with the GNUL modular designs and allows for conversion of community and industrial bio-based wastes into energy with the CO2 being reused as fuel.

Other technologies currently being evaluated include methane digestion and hydrocarbon bio-remediation.
GreenCell is committed to continuing to partner in the development of new green technology

GT5 GreenCell Technologies Develops New Wireless Product

(Toronto) – GreenCell Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce the successful development and forthcoming release of a new product to complement its HydroCell™ unit.  Based on recent feedback from long-haul truckers, the GreenCell research team has now designed a wireless status indicator that will be manufactured and sold as a package in tandem with its popular Hydrogen Enrichment System.

Listed on the Frankfurt Exchange: GT5, GT5 GreenCell Technologies GreenCell begins Extensive Testing Phase with Long-Haul Trucking Companies. Get the latest news on hydrogen testing technologies. Keep updated. Avoid online scam.
The innovative device simply plugs into the cigarette lighter on the dashboard and instantly indicates the current status of the HydroCell™ and its present operating condition. The driver will instantly be aware if the HydroCell™ is in need of water and can rectify the condition which will minimize downtime.
The HydroCell™ requires the addition of water every 40 – 50 hours of operation and will shut down and not generate Hydrogen if allowed to run dry. This device will ensure maximum fuel savings by eliminating downtime due to lack of water.  HydroCell™ has exceeded expectations and is typically doubling hydrogen output and increasing fuel efficiencies for transportation companies and independent drivers alike.
Hydrogen, as a fuel, is emission free and the only by-product of combustion is water.  It is the most abundant element in the universe and is the fuel of choice for the Space Shuttle’s main engine.
To assure continued fuel savings, the HydroCell™ is always tested for performance, efficiency, reliability and hydrogen output on numerous vehicles, to enhance its core design and help refine the product specifications for engineers.  In addition to recent discoveries, GreenCell is also conducting extensive lab tests to establish the most efficient electrolyte mixture and the optimal Anode to Cathode distance for maximum hydrogen production.  These tests will lead to new modifications to increase hydrogen output, boost fuel efficiency overall and reduce manufacturing costs.
The HydroCell™ is an electrolysis-based on-demand Hydrogen generator designed specifically for the transport industry. The product draws a small amount of power from the vehicles electrical system and uses it to produce Hydrogen gas from a water-based solution. The HydroCell™ directs the produced Hydrogen gas to the intake of the vehicles engine where it acts as a catalyst during the normal combustion cycle. This creates more power and fewer emissions, burning only the existing fuel in the cylinder, resulting simply in less fuel being required to operate the vehicle.

GreenCell Technologies Investor Relations

GreenCell Technologies GT5 investor information can be contacted on GreenCell Technologies Inc. 7-21 Industry Street, Aurora, Ontario L4G 1X6 investors (at) greencelltek.com. GreenCell Technologies trades on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange Open Market Symbol: GT5
Press Releases are issued online by EquityStoryAG. Seitzstrasse 23, 80538 Munich, Germany
GreenCell Technologies Inc  is a Canadian company dedicated to designing and bringing to market, technology-based products in the alternative energy market. The current product is called the HydroCell, an on-board on-demand hydrogen generator engineered specifically for Diesel Transport Trucks.
Listed on the Frankfurt Exchange: GT5 - Last Trade
The HydroCell produces Hydrogen Gas, on demand, and adds it to the air drawn into a diesel engine. This small quantity of Hydrogen has large effects on the combustion process. The result is approximately 10% fuel savings and up to a 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (nitrous oxides, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide).
GreenCell Tek GT5 is also involved in the Solar Energy market. We are currently conducting research and developing strategies to open an alternative energy division that will offer product, consultation and installation services for the Canadian market.
The HYDROCELL system is a safe and reliable product designed exclusively for the Diesel Transport Truck market. The HYDROCELL draws only 25 Amps from the vehicles 12 Volt system and generates enough hydrogen through-out the entire RPM range to enhance combustion.
GreenCell Technologies advanced feedback system monitors several conditions and adjusts the electrolysis process, to provide safe and efficient production of Hydrogen gas. The system was designed to operate in a temperature range of -40 to +60C and has an in-cab indicator to show system status. Installation requires no modification to the engine and does not affect the manufacturer’s warranty. The only maintenance needed is the addition of distilled water every 250 hours of operation.
It has been proven in validated tests that adding Hydrogen to fuel in an internal combustion engine will increase the flame speed. At various RPM’s the fuel that is present in the cylinder is not completely burned during the combustion cycle due to the flame speed of petroleum based fuels and the amount of time the combustion cycle is allowed, due to engine speed and load. The addition of Hydrogen gas increases that flame speed and allows for all the fuel in the cylinder to be burned during each combustion cycle. This increases the power produced during that cycle which results in a net savings in fuel use of 10% on average. Greenhouse Gas emissions are also reduced significantly as the major cause of those emissions is un-burnt fuel in the exhaust. Average of 10% Fuel Saving, Produces Hydrogen on demand, Operates only when engine is running, Low Maintenance – requires water every 200 operating hours and Fail-Safe design – stores no Hydrogen.

Applications are for Transport Trucks, School Busses, Municipal Heavy Equipment – Snow-Plows – Garbage & Recycle Trucks, Farm Heavy Equipment – Tractors – Sprayers/Bailers & Harvesters, Construction Heavy Equipment - Bulldozers - Dump Trucks – Black-Hoes and Diesel-Electric Generators.

Get the latest news on hydrogen testing technologies. Keep updated. Avoid online scam. GreenCell Technologies is pleased to announce that they have discovered a method to double the existing hydrogen output of their proprietary Hydrogen Enrichment System the HydroCell.
In addition to this recent discovery the company has been conducting extensive lab tests to establish the most efficient electrolyte mixture and the optimal Anode to Cathode distance for maximum hydrogen production.
Both tests have led to modifications that not only increase the hydrogen output but also result in significantly reduced manufacturing costs.
Additional testing further to that conducted in November 2009, is currently underway from the 5th of January 2010 utilizing trucks installed with the Hydrocell running. The Electronic Control Data (ECD) will then be downloaded and used in direct comparison to vehicles running the same route under the same conditions which are not equipped with the HydroCell.
GreenCell Technologies is scheduled for an initial public offering (IPO) of their shares in February 2010. The company will expand into larger facilities in February and based on the most recent testing as well as the success of other Green Energy IPO’s the company is expecting a very successful launch.

Green Technology Set to Lead The Way in 2010

Commercial First Trading Corporation is pleased to announce the release of their special report on green technology and related sectors. January 28, 2010.

Astute investors know that spotting a trend on the horizon, or in its infancy, can offer a number of investment opportunities today. That was the case with green or clean technologies (greentech/cleantech) a year ago and that remains the case also today. The world has embraced technologies that offer the opportunity for a cleaner planet and healthier people and many companies have emerged to lead this movement. Get the latest news on hydrogen testing technologies. Keep updated. Avoid online scam.
Renewable Energy; It’s Not Your Father’s Fossil Fuel
Renewable energy is a big player in this sector and offers a glimpse of what will soon be commonplace, based partly on trends and partly on government mandates. Cleaner burning fuels, greater mileage, efficient electrical networks and alternate means for powering vehicles are all at the center of the design and manufacturing that will be the central focus for generations to come.
Municipalities and public companies have slowly been adapting to renewable energy. In New River Valley in Virginia, the truck fleet owned by the Pepsi Bottling Group has added twenty-one hydrogen-injected trucks utilizing a fuel system produced by Dynamic Fuel Systems, Inc. a Canadian firm. The portable hydrogen generator that injects hydrogen into the engine’s intake increases mileage and reduces emissions.

Myriad Clean And Green Opportunities
The biggest benefactors of the green/clean tech trend will be manufacturers of electric hybrid vehicles, battery manufacturers, smart grid technology companies, green lighting technology, producers of wind power equipment and non-toxic cleaning products.
From 2002 to 2008, investment in greentech/cleantech grew to $15 billion. That does not include a massive commitment by world governments and major banks. Many countries, that adapted stimulus packages to climb out of the global economic malaise, included big greentech/cleantech spending as a priority area for research and job creation.

Reducing Emissions
A123 Systems Inc. (Symbol AONE.O), a maker of lithium-ion batteries and subsidized by the U.S. government, went public in September (2009) and immediately, the share price jumped 50%. This put the first-day performance of AONE.O solidly in second place for the year for most successful debuts.
The surprising level of interest in the company’s IPO prompted A123 to increase the number of shares available by 2.4 million. A123 System’s batteries power the growing electric car market, a sector that is seeing increased interest by investors.
The collapse of Lehman Bros had a chilling effect on the IPO market during 2009, but that may all change. An avalanche of attention is focused on renewable energy and clean technologies and that could lead to some interesting IPO possibilities.

Solar And Smart Grids
Silver Spring Networks is believed by many observers to be a potential IPO in 2010. Smart grid technology utilizes IT to manage the flow of power over a network. This is done by exchanging information between the provider and the customer. This system is fully automated and allows different devices, which make up the network, to talk to each other. Silver Spring Networks partnered with GE Energy to build a smart grid for a U.S. utility company. GE will provide smart meters for the project.
Rooftop solar panels can provide cheap renewable energy. Solyndra is a manufacturer of photovoltaic systems for the commercial rooftop market based in Freemont California. The company entered into an agreement with Milan, Italy-based Sun System. Solyndra also received $535 million from the Department of Energy in loan guarantees. In addition to the loan guarantees, the company has also received $600 million from investors.

Electric Auto IPO
There has been talk amongst those in the know that electric-car manufacturer, Tesla Motors could be considering an initial public offering. Although the company has denied the rumors, the move would be good timing for the well-funded firm. Tesla has managed to raise $783 million from some big-money investors and venture capital firms. Tesla announced profitability in July of 2009. As the large internal-combustion engine companies release new hybrid and electric models, the maker of the sleek Model S sedan would stir things up in 2010.
GreenCell Technologies IPO
Another highly anticipated IPO is the Canadian company GreenCell Technologies. The HydroCell they produce which is an onboard hydrogen and oxygen gas generator reduces fuel emissions by 50% and fuel consumption by 30%.
Technology That Is Here To Stay
The writing is on the wall; cleantech/greentech is the future of research, manufacturing and investment. The U.S. Department of Energy, which has pledged nearly $100 billion to back a wide variety of green technologies, is just one example of the enormous interest in this sector. The evolving industry based on low carbon research and development will propel this segment and make it mainstream.
The need for high-mileage vehicles, cleaner air, wise power usage and even social media will continue to be compelling forces well into the future.
